In
this workshop we will unlock the mystery of creating a beautiful
pastel. We will explore different ways to start a pastel, as the
beginning is the basis for the completed painting. We will work from a
still life, a photo and plein air. We'll explore the use of edges and
how to create atmosphere. We will use a limited palette that will make
plein air with pastels easy. Whatever your experience, this workshop
will provide you with the tools to achieve the next level or beyond.
We will paint from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily. There will be demonstrations and individual critiques. www.stephaniebirdsall.com
